International Scholars Conversation Hosted at Barton College

WILSON, N.C. — July 10, 2015 — Ten international scholars recently converged on the Barton College campus in Wilson to attend the Third Annual Scholars Conversation hosted by the College’s Center for Religious Studies, under the direction of Dr. Rodney A. Werline, Professor and Marie and Leman Barnhill Endowed Chair of Religious Studies. WILSON, N.C. – If you have been looking for an opportunity to visit the North Carolina Museum of Art, traveling with the Barton College Friends of Visual Arts on its fall excursion on Saturday, September 13, may be a perfect day trip. Participants will depart from the Kennedy Family Theatre parking lot at 1 p.m. Highlights of the trip include a guided museum tour at 2 p.m., a special exhibition viewing at 3 p.m., a 5 p.m. personal introduction by the Paperhand puppet troupe with dinner served, and a live performance by the group at 7 p.m. inside the museum amphitheater, before returning to Barton College. “Unhinged” 2014 Senior Art Exhibition Opens at Barton College

WILSON, N.C. –The Barton Art Galleries at Barton College is pleased to announce the opening of “Unhinged,” the 2014 Senior Art Exhibition. The exhibition will be on view in Case Art Building from April 19 through May 6. Gallery Talks by the student artists will be held on Tuesday, April 22, beginning 4 p.m., in the Barton Art Galleries. On Saturday evening, April 26, the student artists will be recognized with a reception from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. in the Barton Art Galleries.
