WILSON, N.C. — February 10, 2017 — Paintings created to break the barrier between the illusionistic space and the physical surface of the work will be the focus of a remarkable exhibition opening this spring in the Barton Art Galleries on the campus of Barton College. Elise Ferguson’s “Ripple Drift” in the Virginia Thompson Graves Gallery and Lula E. WILSON, N.C. — October 5, 2016 — Photography and documentary filmmaking will be showcased through a series of events as Barton College welcomes artist-in-residence Richard Knox Robinson to the Barton Art Galleries in October. His new exhibition, “Notes from Atlantis,” opens on Tuesday, Oct. 13, and runs through Wednesday, Nov. 23. O’Mara’s spectacular glass works exhibition will open the 2016-2017 art season on the Barton College campus. Friends of Visual Arts at Barton College invites you to join its annual fall excursion on Saturday, Sept. 12. This year’s outing takes travelers to the beautiful Chrysler Museum of Art in Norfolk, Va.
