WILSON, N.C. — The Barton Art Galleries is pleased to announce the opening of “Continuing Conversations,” a group exhibition at Barton College featuring works by members of the Southeast Fibers Educators Association (SEFEA), scheduled for Sunday, March 16. WILSON, N.C. — Barton College’s professor emeritus and artist-in-residence North Carolina landscape artist J. Chris Wilson will present an illustrated lecture on celebrated Northern Renaissance artist Jan van Eyck. The “lunch and lecture series” presentation, sponsored by the Barton College Friends of Visual Arts and the Barton Art Galleries, will be held in The Sam and Marjorie Ragan Writing Center on the Barton campus from Noon to 1 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 13. WILSON, N.C. — The Barton Art Galleries is pleased to announce the opening of the “Convergence,” an invitational group exhibition featuring the works of Bill Byers, David Davenport, Tom Grubb, Jo Pumphrey, and Michael Voors. WILSON, N.C. — Barton College’s professor emeritus and artist-in-residence J. Chris Wilson will hold group and private critiques of paintings on Thursday and Friday, September 19 and 20, in the Barton Art Galleries. On September 19, there will be a group critique from 4-6 p.m., and each participant may bring one painting for the group to discuss.
