WILSON, N.C. — Barton College is pleased to announce Tom Parham, class of 1963, as the featured speaker for the 111th Opening Convocation.  The annual campus event is scheduled for Tuesday, August 28, at 11 a.m. in Howard Chapel. WILSON, N.C. — Mother’s Day proved a perfect backdrop as graduating students’ families joined the Barton College community on the campus green for Commencement Exercises on Sunday, May 13. Some 220 seniors participated in the 110th annual commencement exercises. Dr. Norval C. Kneten presided over his ninth commencement program as president of Barton College. Dr. John P. Marsden, provost and vice president for academic affairs, presented the graduating class. Robert A. WILSON, N.C. — Barton College is excited to host the W.I.S.E. Girls Empowerment Camp for girls in grades 6-12 on Saturday, March 31. W.I.S.E. stands for Women Inspiring Success and Empowerment, and this camp’s focus will be to empower and inspire young females through a series of fun activities and workshops that will also educate them about positive body image, self-esteem, goal-setting, leadership, health & fitness and more.
