Barton Art Galleries Welcomes Sommelier Inez Ribustello for Wine Tasting and Lecture on October 23

WILSON, N.C. — October 2, 2018 — In a toast to artist-in-residence Donald Martin, the Barton Art Galleries will host a wine tasting in Case Art Building on Tuesday, Oct. 23, from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m., featuring renowned sommelier Inez Ribustello, co-owner of On the Square restaurant and wine bar in historic downtown Tarboro. Advance reservations for the wine tasting are required, and guests aged 21 and older are invited to attend. The cost is $25 per person, which may be paid by cash or check at the event. WILSON, N.C. — October 1, 2018 — Nature lovers and landscape enthusiasts are in for a treat at the Barton Art Galleries this October. Barton College celebrates new Artist-in-Residence Donald Martin with a series of public events featuring the artist/printmaker. His new exhibition, “Sanctuary,” opens at the Barton Art Galleries on Thursday, Oct. 11, and runs through Friday, Nov 16. On Thursday, Oct. 11, the Barton College Friends of Visual Arts will host its annual FOVA Fall Lecture and Dinner. WILSON, N.C. — August 14, 2018 — The “Little Light” exhibition, featuring sculpture and performance works by artist Harriet Hoover, will launch the Barton Art Galleries’ 2018-2019 season. Artists Ivana Beck, Lorraine Turi, and Gabrielle Duggan each create work that moves their chosen medium and art form beyond the commonplace and into unique and provocative works.
