Barton Football Kicks Off on Saturday, February 27th — Live-Streamed for Bulldog Fans

WILSON, N.C. — February 5, 2021 — The long-anticipated, in-person celebration for Barton football…will have to wait just a little longer.

In keeping with state and federal guidance and the College’s health and safety protocols during the COVID-19 Pandemic, it has been decided that there will be no general admission nor season ticket holder attendance for the upcoming spring football games. Attendance will be limited largely to essential personnel, limited Barton student, faculty/staff, and Barton football parent participation, and available only via a restricted pass list.

Barton will not be able to host additional guests for spring football game days (with the exception of those names entered on the restricted pass list), and no tailgating will be allowed on campus.

This decision was extremely difficult. Yet, keeping students and faculty safe and in class made this decision the right choice during this challenging season. Barton is committed to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our students’ education and providing the in-person classroom experience they want and deserve.

Plan to watch the Bulldogs’ historic first game via live stream at https://tinyurl.com/bartonfootball or catch the game on-air via the Barton Bulldogs official flagship radio station, The Big Dawg 98.5 FM (https://www.bigdawg985.com/), beginning at 2 p.m.

Be sure to tag photos and videos of your safe, at-home football celebrations with #BartonFootball.  You may also add your photos and videos as replies to posts and tweets at facebook.com/bartoncollege and twitter.com/bartoncollege.

Barton College is most grateful for the loyalty and spirit of our Bulldog fans, and we look forward to cheering together in fall 2021 when, hopefully, it will be safe to gather en masse again.

Until then, we’ll celebrate Barton football via Bulldog live-streamed broadcast.
