WILSON, N.C. — October 25, 2018 — The brothers of Sigma Phi Epsilon at Barton College chose to shine a very personal light on Breast Cancer Awareness during the month of October. Instead of raising dollars to send to a cancer research foundation this year, the brothers reached out to connect with a breast cancer patient in the Wilson community, Kiayuana Evans. WILSON, N.C. — October 2, 2018 — In a toast to artist-in-residence Donald Martin, the Barton Art Galleries will host a wine tasting in Case Art Building on Tuesday, Oct. 23, from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m., featuring renowned sommelier Inez Ribustello, co-owner of On the Square restaurant and wine bar in historic downtown Tarboro. Advance reservations for the wine tasting are required, and guests aged 21 and older are invited to attend. The cost is $25 per person, which may be paid by cash or check at the event. Barton College’s 11th Annual Day of Service Held on October 17

WILSON, N.C. — We wouldn’t be surprised if you saw a blur of blue t-shirts zipping by as Barton Bulldogs headed out to their assigned service sites on Wednesday morning, Oct. 17. Students, faculty, staff, and alumni in their signature t-shirts served a multitude of local organizations during the College’s annual “Day of Service.” With more than 800 Barton participants signed up, students and professors at the College set aside books, and campus staff members and area alumni stepped away from desks, for the eleventh annual “Day of Service” on campus and in the Wilson community. WILSON, N.C. — October 11, 2018 — Members of the Wilson community are invited to join Barton College’s faculty, staff, and students for “Take Back The Night: One Night, Never Silent, Ending Violence Together,” scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 16.
