WILSON, N.C. –  In celebration of the 228th anniversary of the signing of the United States Constitution, Barton College will host a Constitution Day discussion by acclaimed filmmaker David Garrigus, whose latest project, “The American Constitution,” is in production. A reception with refreshments will be held in the Willis N. Hackney Library on Thursday, Sept. 17, at 5 p.m., with the program commencing at 5:30 p.m. A question-and-answer period following the speaker’s presentation will conclude the program. WILSON, N.C. – As part of annual Constitution Day celebrations at Barton, the College will host a talk by Dr. Troy Kickler, author of “The King’s Trouble Makers: Edenton’s Role in Creating a Nation and State.” The program and reception will be held in the Willis N. WILSON, N.C. – In celebration of Constitution Day 2008, the Barton College Friends of Hackney Library will present a reception and program featuring the Honorable William G. Stewart, N.C. District Court Judge, District 7. The event will be held in the Willis N. Hackney Library on Wednesday, Sept. 17, from 5 until 7 p.m. There is no charge for this event, and the community is invited to attend.
