Hustle for Health 5K Planned in Partnership with N.C. Whirligig Festival

WILSON, N.C. — October 25, 2022 — In partnership with the N.C. Whirligig Festival, the Barton College “Hustle for Health 5K Run/Walk and Community Health Fair” on November 5-6 is sponsored by the Healthcare+ HOSA cohort at Barton College, Wilson Primary Care, and BartonFit. Come enjoy a fun, informative event designed to keep you healthy and active!

The Community Health Fair event will be located on Douglas Street within the Whirligig Festival in Historic Downtown Wilson, on both Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 5-6. Community Health Fair vendors will include the Carolina Family Health Center, the Barton Kinesiology Program, Southeastern Healthcare of N.C., Vitality Nutrition, and more. The 5K Run/Walk will begin at 9 a.m. on Sunday morning on Barnes Street, and participants will run or walk through Historic Downtown Wilson to complete the 5K. A one-mile walk/stroll route will also be available. The 5K Run/Walk is expected to end by 10 a.m.

Register for the Hustle for Health 5K Run/Walk through race day on Sunday, Nov. 6, until 8:30 a.m. Registration is $25 for 5K participants and $20 for 1M participants. Participation includes a t-shirt, goodie bag, and snacks. Breakfast will also be available for purchase from Nard’s Food Truck & Catering. The Top 3 Male and Female Runners will be announced later in the day at the N.C. Whirligig Festival.
