WILSON, N.C. — April 16, 2015 — The Barton College Choir will present their spring concert “Songs and Choruses from Musical Theater” on Thursday, April 30, at 7 p.m. in the Kennedy Family Theatre on campus. The performance is open to the public free of charge, and the community is invited to attend.
Conducted by music director Mark N. Peterson, the 17-voice ensemble will perform medleys of songs from the shows “Grease” and “Les Misérables,” as well as a potpourri of songs by Stephen Sondheim and Cole Porter.
Janie Bostick, professor emerita of music, will be the accompanist for the choir. Choir members include Jamie Allen, Dori Brooks, Paige Brooks, Allison Dellinger, Beth Jarratt, Taylor Kearney, Breyuana Kittrell, Giovany Martinez, Luar Mercado Lopez, Cedric Parris, Courtney Perez, Navpreet Pooni, Zachery Rayburn, Mar-juani Thompson, Luisa Torres, AJ Williams, and Amber Wilson.
