Members of the Barton College Community,
As a result of Hurricane Idalia’s approach toward North Carolina, Barton College will delay opening offices until 10 a.m. on Thursday morning, Aug. 31, 2023. The first classes to meet on Thursday will be the 11 a.m. classes.
Vice Presidents will be in touch with their teams to determine essential personnel who will need to arrive on campus at the regularly scheduled time tomorrow morning.
The Culinary Center will follow its regular operating schedule for meals on Thursday.
Please continue to monitor your Barton email, the Barton College website (weather advisory red alert bar at the top of the website’s homepage), and social media for updates.
Road conditions may vary from town to town tomorrow. Please use caution and good judgment as you travel to work and classes on Thursday morning.
Please notify your professor or supervisor if your travel conditions prevent you from following the adjusted schedule tomorrow.
