Recruitment and Campus Visits Coordinator

This position manages and recruits a specified territory with enrollment goals for the college. It is an enrollment team member that collaborates with multiple facets of the institution to communicate the college’s overall mission and Barton experience. 

 

Job responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute campus visits & events for the Office of Admissions and Student Engagement (including daily tours, open houses, virtual events, and any other recruitment events) from start to finish and serve as the point of contact on the day of events.
  • Supervisory responsibility over the Student Ambassador Program.
  • Communicate effectively and efficiently with students and parents daily concerning Barton College, campus visits, and admissions requirements.
  • Develop communications to advertise events and assist the communications team with other campaigns/efforts.
  • Liaison with faculty and staff in other departments on campus to plan and execute successful events.
  • Provide strategic ideas for events to the leadership team.
  • Track and report campus event data 
  • Continually evaluate event processes/ procedures and adjust as needed to improve the campus visit experience for prospective students and families.
  • Ability to speak to all facets of the admission populations (freshman, transfer, graduate, and professional studies, as well as any special programs).
  • Managed up-to-date events calendar, room reservations, and AV/IT requests for recruitment events.
  • Work in an atmosphere where goals are set and reached based on the institution’s expectations.
  • The willingness to travel independently for consecutive nights if needed.
  • Skills to learn and work with Slate CRM and Jenzabar SIS daily.
  • Willingness to work weekends and evenings to reach goals.
  • Managed a local territory to recruit students and performed duties to build a strong base of enrolled students. 
  • Build relationships with high school counselors, independent consultants, vendors, and constituents who influence a student’s college decision-making. 
  • Ability to thrive in a team atmosphere while possessing a strong independent work ethic.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Exhibits a positive and vibrant presence within an office atmosphere as well as throughout communication with prospective students and their families 

 

Desired Education, Skills, and Experience: Bachelor’s degree. Familiarity with Slate CRM and Jenzabar preferred. Must be proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Suite, and Google Suite. Experience with Canva for designing graphics, invitations, and advertisements preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required to interact and communicate effectively with all organizational levels.  Ability to be discreet in handling confidential and proprietary information appropriately. Proven track record of reliability, responsibility, and integrity.  Strong problem-solving skills. Must be able to operate in a fast-paced environment effectively and can work independently of direct supervision.  Strong organizational and planning skills and ability to be detail-oriented.
