Weather Advisory 1

Weather Advisory 1
December  7, 2025   9:00 p.m.

Members of the Barton College community,

Forecasts from regional weather services indicate a wintry mix beginning tomorrow, Monday, December 8, around 3:00 p.m., and continuing into the early morning hours of Tuesday, December 9. Conditions may include freezing rain, sleet, or light snow, which could create slick roads and walkways.

We will continue monitoring the weather closely tonight and throughout the morning. At this time, final exams and school activities remain on schedule for Monday. More information is expected to be shared later Monday morning.

If hazardous travel conditions prevent you from safely coming to campus, please notify your professor or supervisor. Instructors and departments will provide guidance for students with on-campus classes, exams, or appointments.

Staying Safe in Winter Conditions

  • Allow extra time to move across campus; sidewalks and paths may be icy.
  • Walk carefully on stairs, paths, and parking lots.
  • Avoid unnecessary travel if conditions worsen.

We will share updates as needed via Barton email, the College website, and official Barton social media channels.

Thank you for your attention and cooperation.
