(Oct. 18–27, 2027) | $4,699 including your flight, for a limited time only.
There are only 16 cabins on the riverboat at this low price, and it is first-come, first-served. Most of our travelers elect to stay on the Strauss Deck, which is a little more expensive but comes with what they call a “French balcony,” where the picture window on the top half of the wall drops down into the wall, giving the cabin some open air.
We are looking forward to contracting this five-star trip with Adelman on the Amadeus line, and I will be sending out information as soon as it is available. We will be aboard the Amadeus Aurea, which will launch for the first time in 2026. The plan is for us to fly directly into Basel, Switzerland, and spend a day or so in this fascinating small city, known all over Europe for its Carnival in February.
Travelers will board the riverboat on day 2 or 3 (still to be determined) and proceed north downriver on the Rhine, traveling with the current. Every village, town, or city where we stop will be a new adventure, and October is the best time to see the changing leaves and feel the arrival of the crisp autumn air. On one magical afternoon alone, you will pass twenty-two castles.
Travelers will end the trip in Amsterdam with a planned visit, but there will be an available extension that may interest you. This trip will be priced under market. Adelman has chartered the entire riverboat for its clients, and it will fill up fast. Our group will be competing with two other travel groups for space, so the sooner you sign up, the better cabin (and price) you will have.
This will be a reprise of one of our most popular trips ever back in 2019.
[Note: The land portion of this trip is 4-star, while the river cruise is 5-star.]
Once the contracts are signed, the organizer will send out a Barton Travel News flash so you can secure your spot before it sells out.
