Fall 2021 Seniors and Juried Student Show Opens December 2 in the Barton Art Galleries

WILSON, N.C. — November 18, 2021 — Barton College is pleased to announce the opening of the Fall 2021 Seniors and Juried Student Show on Thursday, Dec. 2, with an evening reception to be held from 5-7 p.m. in the Barton Art Galleries in Case Art Building on the campus of the College. A gallery talk will be held at 6 pm.

There is no charge for the event and the community is invited to attend. Social distancing and masks will be required when visiting this exhibition.

Students within the School of Visual, Performing, and Communications Arts (listed below ) will have their works or representations of their work on view in the Barton Art Galleries through December 10.

Mass Communications Program —

Kayla Jimenez of Wilson plans to graduate in December with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications Studies with a minor in Spanish.

Visual Arts Program —

Mock-up Design by Barton student Carli HinsonCarli Hinson of Goldsboro plans to graduate in May with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Art & Design with an emphasis in Graphic Design, and a minor in Honors Research.

Painting by Barton student Madison MurphyMadison Murphy of Goldsboro plans to graduate in May with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Art & Design with an emphasis in Painting.

Artwork by Barton student Ariana WatkinsAriana Watkins of Wilson plans to graduate in May with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Art & Design with an emphasis in Graphic Design and a minor in Business Administration.

Also included during this period will be a Juried Student Exhibition 2021, with a guest juror selecting work entered by Barton students.

The Barton Art Galleries, located inside Case Art Building on the campus of Barton College, is open Monday-Thursday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., and Friday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., or by appointment.
