The School of Health Sciences at Barton College seeks candidates for Adjunct Clinical Instructor of Nursing with anticipated start date of January 2026. The position reports directly to the Executive Director of Nursing and Practice.
Desired Education, Skills, and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution
- Hold an unrestricted license to practice as a registered nurse in North Carolina
- Two years of direct patient care as a registered nurse
- Current AHA Healthcare Provider BLS certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to working with students from diverse backgrounds
- Must complete any onboarding process required by the clinical partner
- Must commit to the same day once per week for the period of one semester, either Thursdays, Fridays, or Saturdays. Opportunities for more than one day per week are also available.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master of Science (MSN) degree from an accredited institution
- Experience teaching pre-licensure nursing students in the clinical setting
