2022 Senior Exhibition at Barton Will Open With Reception On April 28

WILSON, N.C. — March 18, 2022 — Barton College is pleased to announce the opening of the 2022 Senior Exhibition on Thursday, April 28, with an evening reception to be held from 5-7 p.m. in the Barton Art Galleries in Case Art Building on the campus of the College.

This event is open to the public at no charge and the community is invited to attend. Face masks are required for this event, and social distancing will be observed.

Seven seniors within the School of Visual, Performing, and Communications Arts will have their works or representations of their work on view in the Barton Art Galleries through May 7. Those seniors representing the Mass Communications and Visual Arts programs include —

Bahiyyih Agbaw of Rocky Mount plans to graduate in May with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications Studies.

Art Poster by Victoria Cardoso SantiagoVictoria Cardoso-Santiago of Wilson plans to graduate in May with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Art and Design with a concentration in Graphic Design.

Ashley Duran of Goldsboro plans to graduate in May with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art and a minor in Business Administration.

Cassidi Hinson of Wilson plans to graduate in May with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications with a concentration in Journalism and minors in Honors Research and Writing.

Nicholas Horton of Portsmouth, Va., plans to graduate in May with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications with a concentration in Public Relations.

Jessica Simmons of Williamston plans to graduate in May with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications with a concentration in Journalism and minors in Honors Research and Photography.

Piper Wolfe of Holly Springs plans to graduate in May with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Visual Communications and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications with a concentration in Public Relations, and a minor in Honors Research.work of art by Piper Wolfe

The Barton Art Galleries, located inside Case Art Building on the campus of Barton College, is open Monday­-Thursday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., and Friday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., or by appointment.  For additional information or to reserve a time to visit, please contact Maureen O’Neill, director of exhibitions and educational programming, at artgalleries@barton.edu or 252-399-­6476.

Barton Art Galleries requests visitors to make a reservation in advance of their planned visit. Individual and small group tours may be scheduled by reservation, and evening and weekend times may also be scheduled by request.
