TRUIST Emerging Leaders Certification

The Truist Emerging Leaders Certification focuses on the self-awareness necessary to lead others more effectively. After completing the program, participants will be equipped with practical tools and strategies for overcoming leadership shortcomings discovered during the sessions. The Truist Leadership Model serves as the foundation of this highly interactive certification program. Participants learn that their beliefs drive their behaviors and ultimately impact their results. They also identify their Leadership Purpose, a working statement defining their leadership goals and objectives. Following the certification, participants receive a summary document that details their leadership strengths, communication preferences, and blind spots.

Program Outcomes

• Understand the relationships among beliefs, motivations, behaviors, and results.
• Articulate their leadership communication preference when they are, and are not, in stressful situations.
• Distinguish and apply appropriate leadership communication strategies for different situations.
• Practice communication skills in a way that enhances relationships.
• Develop a Leadership Purpose that reflects their leadership goals and will influence their journey as a leader.
• Create a personal action plan that will outline behavioral changes to make their leadership more effective.
• Upon completion, participants receive an electronic certificate that may be shared on LinkedIn, and on resumes.

FBLA Collegiate

FBLA Collegiate is a national association that brings business and education together through programs and services in which students, educators, and business people learn about one another. The Barton chapter has won numerous awards at the state and national levels. Our members participate in both the State and National FBLA-Collegiate Leadership Conventions. The State conference is always in Charlotte, NC. The National Leadership Convention moves yearly, rotating among San Antonio, Orlando, Chicago, Anaheim, Atlanta. And Salt Lake City.
