Meet Your Residence Life Staff

Joe Dlugos

Director of Housing and Residence Life

Joe serves as the director of housing and residence life as well as the hall director for off-campus houses and apartments. Joe holds a master’s degree in counseling from Minnesota State University and two bachelor’s degrees in English and theatre from Southern Connecticut State University. Joe is also a National Certified Counselor, a licensed EMT, and an American Heart Association Basic Life Support Instructor.

Samantha Davenport

Samantha serves as the Residence Hall Director for Waters Hall and The Office of Residence Life's Off Campus Houses and Apartments. She received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Barton College in 2014. Currently, she is a candidate for the Master of Science Degree in College Counseling at North Carolina State University.

Debbie Larkin

Secretary, Student Affairs

Debbie has served as the secretary for the Office of Student Affairs since 2008 and focuses on Residence Life and Religious Life. She resides in Wilson and has four children and two grandchildren. Her oldest daughter graduated from Barton College in 2014, and her other daughter is currently attending Barton. Debbie’s favorite part of her job is the daily interaction with students.
