Joe Dlugos

Director of Housing and Residence Life
Hall Director, Off-Campus Houses and Apartments

Joe serves as the director of housing and residence life as well as the hall director for off-campus houses and apartments. Joe holds a master’s degree in counseling from Minnesota State University and two bachelor’s degrees in English and theatre from Southern Connecticut State University. Joe is also a National Certified Counselor, a licensed EMT, and an American Heart Association Basic Life Support Instructor.

Jessica D. Jones

Assistant Director of Residence Life
Hall Director, Hilley and Wenger Halls

Jessica is the assistant director of residence life and the hall director for Hilley and Wenger Halls. She began her association with Barton College in 2008. Jessica has a B.A. in English from North Carolina Wesleyan College. Her favorite part of her job responsibilities is meeting new people and creating a wonderful college experience for Barton students.

Jessica Ramirez

Hall Director
East Campus Suites, Waters, and Hackney Halls

Jessica Ramirez serves as the Residence Hall Director for East Campus Suites, Waters Hall, and Hackney Hall. She has a master’s degree in Professional Counseling and College Student Affairs from the University of West Georgia and a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication from Georgia College. Originally from Colombia, Jessica came to the United States to start her college education in 2008. She is passionate about supporting and serving students and is excited to be part of the Barton family.

Debbie Larkin

Secretary, Student Affairs

Debbie has served as the secretary for the Office of Student Affairs since 2008 and focuses on Residence Life and Religious Life. She resides in Wilson and has four children and two grandchildren. Her oldest daughter graduated from Barton College in 2014, and her other daughter is currently attending Barton. Debbie’s favorite part of her job is the daily interaction with students.
