The Department of Communication and Performing Arts blends theory in the classroom with hands-on experience in the field, in studios and editing rooms, and on stage. Program facilities include the Lauren Kennedy and Alan Campbell Theatre, the Sara Lynn Riley Kennedy Recording Studio, the WRAL Media Lab, the WEDT Studio, and the Phyllis Parish Howard Control Room. You may find yourself running sound for on-campus theatre productions, producing shows in our on-campus television studio, or working on the campus newspaper.
