East Campus Suites

Barton College’s newest residence hall, East Campus Suites features apartment-style living with 22 individual suites offering single and double-occupancy bedrooms. Each suite accommodates up to four persons and in addition to bedrooms, each includes a living room, a kitchenette, and two full bathrooms. The suites are fully wired for cable television and internet access. The kitchenettes are furnished with refrigerators, microwaves, double sinks, and spacious cabinets. The building is ADA compliant and provides study lounges and a laundry facility for all residents. Residence Halls

Hackney Hall

Hackney was constructed in 1960 and is named in honor of the Hackney family, longtime benefactors of the College. Hackney Hall has been designated exclusively for co-ed upper classmen. Each room has an outside entrance leading to an open-air walkway. Suites are composed of four rooms with each suite sharing a fully equipped bathroom area. All rooms have internet access, air conditioning, and cable television. Residents have access to private laundry facilities on the ground floor. All residents of Hackney have extended 24-hour visitation privileges Thursday-Saturday. (Room dimensions: 10′ x 15′)

Hilley Hall

Constructed in 1966, this facility is named in honor of Dr. Howard Stevens Hilley, Rhodes Scholar and fifth president of the College. Hilley residents on each floor enjoy elevator service, a comfortable carpeted lounge area, balcony, two spacious bathroom/shower areas and laundry facilities, as well as a large carpeted main lounge. All areas are air conditioned, and each room is equipped with internet access and cable television. Hilley Hall houses two sororities, Phi Mu and Sigma Sigma Sigma. (Room dimensions: 9.5′ x 15.5′)

Waters Hall

Constructed in 1968, this freshman hall is named in honor of Dr. John Mayo Waters, former professor of religion who served the College for 50 years. Students residing in Waters have access to a centrally located television lobby. Waters is also equipped with elevator service for the six floors. All rooms have internet access, cable television, and air conditioning. Wilson Police Department/Barton College District offices are located on the first floor. (Room dimensions: 11′ x 11′)

Wenger Hall

Constructed in 1970, this facility houses women on each of its six floors, and is named in honor of Dr. Arthur Wenger, the eighth president of the College. Rooms are arranged into suites of four, each suite sharing a fully equipped bathroom area. All rooms are equipped with internet access, cable television access, and air conditioning. Residents enjoy elevator service, a comfortable lounge, ironing/utility area, study room, and laundry facilities. The main level features a kitchen area, large TV, and a lounge. The sisters of Delta Zeta Sorority reside on the sixth floor.
