Barton College seeks candidates for a tenure-track appointment in the School of Nursing at the rank of Assistant Professor starting August 2014.

Responsibilities include collaborating with current faculty and clinical partners, teaching in didactic and clinical settings, academic advising, service to the college, and participation in professional activities. Additionally, the successful candidate will demonstrate teaching practices consistent with the N.C. Board of Nursing and college guidelines. Pre-licensure and graduate teaching experience desired. Candidates should be prepared to teach in more than one subspecialty area.

Minimum qualifications include a master’s degree in nursing with clinical expertise in community-health, psychiatric mental health, and/or complex adult health nursing. The candidate must hold or be eligible for unrestricted registered nurse licensure in North Carolina. Current CPR (AHA), malpractice insurance, criminal background check, and physical requirements are expected. We believe that a diverse faculty is essential to achieving excellence.
