Overview
Studying sport management at Barton prepares you for a career in a variety of settings—major and minor league sports; college or university athletics; international, national, and local sporting events; and national governing bodies (LPGA, USTA). And, because you’ll take a blend of courses in the Physical Education and Sport Studies Department and Barton’s School of Business, you can easily combine your major with a degree in business administration.
Special Features
As a sophomore in the program, you’ll take an early field experience course in which you’ll work with an agency, gaining practical experience and exploring possibilities for the internship that’s required after your junior year.
Course Information
As a sport management major, you’ll take a blend of courses in both the Department of Physical Education and Sport Studies and the School of Business. Required courses cover such topics as:
