Spring 2025 Continuing Education Class Offering
Drawing with Pastel and More!
In this eight-week course, students will be introduced to a variety of approaches to drawing, including drawing from observation, abstraction, memory and more. Students will also become familiar with a variety of drawing media, including charcoal, graphite, and soft pastel. The instructor will guide students through the different approaches and give specific assignments to help facilitate the completion of a series of drawings by the end of the term.
All levels of experience are welcome.
Materials are not included.

Materials:
- Vine charcoal (a variety pack)
- Compressed charcoal
- Kneaded eraser
- Pad of drawing paper, 18×24” recommended
- Box of Soft pastels, (preferably Sennelier half sticks, or Unison brand starter sets are good)
- Pad of Pastel paper,
- Graphite drawing pencil set
- A small notebook for writing
(It is recommended that beginners wait to order supplies until after the first class, there will be supplies available for the exercises done on that first day).
Admissions
Eligible students must be at least 18 years old. Some courses may have additional requirements.
Registration
To enroll, students must complete the registration form, pay the registration fees, and attend the first meeting of the class.

Fees
The cost for Continuing Education courses will be determined on a course-by-course basis. See each offering for its fee.
Students are eligible for a 100 percent refund if they officially withdraw from their classes prior to the first class meeting or if a class is canceled because of insufficient enrollment. Once classes begin, no refunds will be given.
