Friday, September 26

Friday Night at the Porch
Kick off Family Weekend with an unforgettable evening at The Porch in the heart of downtown Wilson! Join students, families, and friends, for a fun, relaxed night to celebrate and connect.
A perfect way to kick off the weekend. We can’t wait to see you there … and bring your family and your weekend spirit!
Saturday, September 27
9 a.m. – 11 a.m. • Kennedy Family Theatre
Back to Class Experience
Step back into the classroom and see what learning looks like today! Join us for a unique Family Weekend event featuring Dr. McCauley, who will lead an engaging and entertaining lesson that will make you feel like a student all over again … and yes, there might be a pop quiz (with prizes!).
After class, enjoy coffee and conversation with the Deans of each school during a relaxed social in the Kennedy Family Theatre Atrium. Don’t miss this fun and meaningful way to experience the academic side of campus life!
1 p.m. • Truist Stadium
Bulldog Engagement
After lunch, bring your Bulldog spirit and head over to the stadium for an afternoon of fun and connection!
Meet and Mingle with:
• Members of our Greek Life organizations
• Student clubs and organizations
• Our highly recognized cornhole team – they will show you how to sink the perfect toss!
Whether you’re tossing bags or just soaking in the energy, this is a great chance to engage with campus life and make lasting memories. Let’s see what makes a Bulldog Nation special.

Felix and Fingers Dueling Pianos
Get ready for a night of music, laughter, and unforgettable fun! Join us for an interactive, high-energy evening with Felix and Fingers Dueling
Pianos, a show that blends your favorite songs and comedy, crowd participation, and little friendly competition between two talented musicians. Cash Bar available for age 21+, complimentary non-alcoholic beverages available.
What to Expect:
• Non-stop entertainment with your song requests
• Hilarious banter and improvisation
• Crowd sing-alongs and musical games
• A one-of-a kind experience that’s never the same twice!
This isn’t just a concert, it’s an experience you’ll be talking about long after the weekend is over. Bring your voice, your song requests, and your sense of humor! Immediately following Dueling Pianos is the BSU Trail Ride, departing from Kennedy Family Theatre.

All families are invited to dine inside our Culinary Center. Meals are self-pay or you may use your student’s Bulldog Bucks. Looking to explore local flavors? Wilson also offers a variety of delicious restaurants to suit every taste. Enjoy a great meal, whether on campus or around town!!

Family Weekend Worship Service
You and your loved ones are invited to a special Family Weekend Worship Service led by Chaplain Alysun Skinner in the peaceful setting of Howard Chapel. Affiliated with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), this meaningful service will offer a message centered on the importance of family, both those we’re born into and those we choose. Whether you’re deeply rooted in your faith or simply seeking a moment of reflection, all are welcome to join in this time of inspiration, connection, and community. Come as you are and start your Sunday with heart and purpose.

Join The Office of Institutional Advancement and Marketing for a new tradition and a special moment of pride as we honor students who are continuing a family legacy at Barton College. The Legacy Pinning Ceremony recognizes students who are direct relatives of alumni celebrating the bond between generations and the enduring connection to our college community. This marks the first time this heartfelt ceremony will be held, making it a truly historic and memorable occasion. Whether you’re a legacy family or attending in support, we invite all to witness this proud new tradition.
