Honors Program students are required to engage in undergraduate research. How have your past academic success, education experiences, and work ethic, coupled with your personal interests and career aspirations, qualified you for the Honors Program? What kinds of experiences do you hope to gain as a student engaged in honors research?
Honors Program students are required to engage in service both on campus and in the local community. What past experiences have you had in providing service to others? What are the needs of this group, and why do you feel passionate about helping them? If you were able to design a community service project what would it be and why would it be beneficial for the target group?
Honors Program students are required to attend cultural events on campus. These may include research and scholarship events, cultural arts events (theater, art, music), diversity programs, religious life events, health and wellness programs, athletic events, residence hall programs, and student clubs. Use your prior experiences to discuss how you will become involved with the Honors Program and contribute toward a vibrant campus community.
