Leslie Pittman has over 20 years of bedside nursing experience in cardiac care, surgical/trauma intensive care, and obstetrics.
Since joining Barton in 2012, she has developed interests in student retention and success strategies. She also enjoys spending time with students in the simulation lab.
She seeks to institute interdisciplinary learning with social work, education, business, gerontology, Spanish, and health promotion majors. In addition, she wishes to positively affect the community surrounding Barton. Pittman envisions a future in which nursing students can run a free-standing clinic in the community with the help of other campus disciplines.
