Dr. Lauren Biscardi is an assistant professor in the School of Allied Health and Sport Studies. She earned her bachelor’s degree in business management with a concentration in marketing from Stony Brook University in 2009 and her master’s degree in business administration with a concentration in information technology management from the University at Albany in 2011. She earned her master’s of sport science with a concentration in strength and conditioning from Hofstra University. She earned her Ph.D. in education with a concentration in kinesiology from George Mason University. She holds her certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS,*D) and sports nutritionist (CISSN) certifications. Dr. Biscardi has taught at the college level for 10 years prior to joining the Barton community. She competed as a Division I athlete in college and remains active coaching track and field. Her research interests include studying sport and exercise from a social cognitive perspective.
