Ms. Gentry Ridgeway, M.S.N., R.N.

Gentry first started her academic career in the sciences field earning a degree in Chemistry from Winthrop University, leading her to a 15-year career in the fields of biotech, pharmaceuticals, research, and medical devices. Gentry returned to school as a second-degree student and earned her ADN in 2016. She brings seven years of bedside experience in emergency nursing with her and currently still works in the emergency department supplementally and is a clinical instructor for ultrasound guided IV placement. She holds a national certification as a Certified Emergency Nurse and has been nominated for the J. Patrick Barnes Daisy Award once. In 2022, she received the Mary Lewis Wyche Scholarship from the North Carolina Foundation for Nursing while in her graduate program. After completing her MSN in 2022, she began her academic career as an adjunct Clinical Instructor for Barton College during the Spring of 2023 and transitioned into the role of Assistant Professor in the Fall of 2023. In her spare time, Gentry enjoys quilting, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends.
