Dr. David H. Dommer, Ph.D.

Dr. David H. Dommer comes to Barton College from Virginia Tech after completing his doctoral work on magnetic reception and navigation in the fruit fly, Drosophila melanogaster.  Current research interests include visual ecology and diversity of insect species in the local community and geotaxis in adult and larval flies.  He is the primary instructor for Human Anatomy and Physiology and has taught a number of courses in organismal anatomy, physiology, and ecology.  Dr. Dommer currently serves as the Executive Director for Life Sciences at Barton College.
