About Barton College
Welcome to Barton College, your Disciples-affiliated institution of higher education North Carolina region. Ever since we were founded as Atlantic Christian College almost 120 years ago, we have been a place where bold thinkers become bold leaders in service to their communities and the world.
Students
Barton students who are members of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) may be eligible for significant scholarships. Barton offers a wide variety of scholarship opportunities, including merit-based scholarships rewarding academic performance, need-based scholarships and numerous endowed scholarships created specifically for DOC students. All full-time Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) students enrolling in the fall will receive an automatic $1,200 DOC Scholarship!
Alumni
Atlantic Christian College and Barton College have a strong alumni network, and many of those alumni are members of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Barton College is grateful for your continued friendship and prayerful support. We welcome alumni and friends to come back to campus for the Homecoming Worship Service in Howard Chapel and Lighting of the Luminaries on Center Campus at Christmas.
