Barton College Gospel Choir and Company to Perform on April 13

WILSON, N.C. — The Barton College Gospel Choir, “and Company,” will perform its eighth annual spring concert on Saturday, April 13, at 5 p.m. in Hardy Alumni Hall. This year’s theme is “Stepping Out of the Box.” The event is open to the public, and the community is invited to attend. General admission is $5 per person. Children, ages 12 and younger, may bring one canned good for admission to the concert. Barton faculty, staff, and students will be admitted with their Barton IDs and one canned good per person. Barton’s Lighting of the Luminaries Opens the Christmas Season on November 29

WILSON, N.C. — The Lighting of the Luminaries, a long-standing tradition for the Barton College community, will usher in the Christmas season on Tuesday, Nov. 29. The College family invites the surrounding community to join them for this festive celebration. The celebration will begin with a candlelight dinner served in the Hamlin Student Center Dining Hall at 5 p.m.  Cost for the meal is $6 for adults and $3 for children and students not on the meal plan. Barton College Gospel Choir Featured on WRAL’s Spiritual Awakening Gospel Music Program – May 8

WILSON, N.C. — The success of Barton’s students is celebrated through stories, testimonials, and now, even song. The Barton College Gospel Choir will be featured on WRAL-TV’s Spiritual Awakening gospel music program on Sunday morning, May 8, at 6 a.m., and during an encore performance on WRAL’s sister station, WRAZ Fox 50, at 8 a.m. The Barton College Gospel Choir is under the leadership of Holly Zacharias, advisor, and Barton alumnus Terrence Canady, choir director.  TJ Jones is the director of the gospel choir band. This year’s theme is “Blessed & Highly Favored.” The event is open to the public at no charge, and the community is invited to attend. WILSON, N.C. – The Barton College Gospel Choir will present its fifth annual concert on Saturday, April 10, in Hardy Alumni Hall at 3 p.m.  This year’s theme is ” More than Conquerors” inspired by Romans 8:37.  The event is open to the public at no charge, and the community is invited to attend.
