Barton College Choir’s Spring Concert Scheduled for Thursday, April 30

WILSON, N.C. — April 16, 2015 — The Barton College Choir will present their spring concert “Songs and Choruses from Musical Theater” on Thursday, April 30, at 7 p.m. in the Kennedy Family Theatre on campus. The performance is open to the public free of charge, and the community is invited to attend. Conducted by music director Mark N. Peterson, the 17-voice ensemble will perform medleys of songs from the shows “Grease” and “Les Misérables,” as well as a potpourri of songs by Stephen Sondheim and Cole Porter. WILSON, N.C. — The Lighting of the Luminaries and the Service of Christmas Lessons and Carols, long-standing traditions for the Barton College community, will usher in the 2014 Christmas season on Tuesday, Dec. 2. The College family invites the surrounding community to join them for this festive celebration of events on campus. The celebration will begin with a festive candlelight dinner served in the Hamlin Student Center Dining Hall at 5 p.m. Cost for the meal is $6 for adults and $3 for children and students not on the meal plan.
