Naija Speight is the Technology and Grants Librarian and Associate Professor at Barton College. She has a Bachelor of Science in Political Science degree from Barton College and a Master’s in Library Science from North Carolina Central University, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. In 2024, Professor Speight was accepted into the Primary Sources Teaching Fellowship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Rare Book School, where she took a typography class at the Newberry Library in Chicago, Illinois. Her interests are working with rare books and special collections and planning educational programs.
