Junhyuk Kwon, Ph.D.

Dr. Junhyuk Kwon is an assistant professor of operations management and management information systems at Barton College. He holds a Ph.D. in Management Science from the University of North Texas where he worked as a teaching fellow and teaching assistant. He received a master’s degree in Marketing and B.S in Business at Hanyang University, Seoul, South Korea. Dr. Kwon teaches Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Project Management, and Management Information Systems at both the undergraduate and graduate level. His research focuses on service operations management, quality management, service failure and recovery, and supply chain management. He has published in the Quality Management Journal and has appeared in the proceedings of the Decision Science Institute Annual Conferences. The research presented in the Southwest Decision Sciences Institute (SWDSI) conference in 2013, which estimated the stock outs in inventory modeling, was awarded the “2013 best student paper.” He lives in Zebulon with his wife, Ji, and their daughter, Leah.
