Dr. Chelsie Batten is an algebraist by training but enjoys all branches of mathematics. Her research background is in the field of Leibniz algebras. She teaches general education mathematics courses and calculus, as well as other upper-level courses. Through her courses she strives to encourage students to improve their view of math and develop meaningful quantitative reasoning skills needed for citizenship in today’s world.
