WILSON, N.C. — The tenth annual Caregiver Education Conference is scheduled for Tuesday, March 5, on the Barton College campus. The Gerontology Program of Barton College, Alzheimers North Carolina Inc., the Upper Coastal Plain Area Agency on Aging Family Caregiver Support Program, and Joseph D. Russell, M.D., have teamed up to sponsor this significant series of workshops and keynote addresses. WILSON, N.C. — The 33rd annual E.G. Purcell, Jr., Bible Conference and the Thedford G. and Woodrow W. Sprinkle Lectures are scheduled for February 25 and 26 at Barton College. Dr. Richard A. Horsley and Dr. Richard H. Lowery will deliver lectures for the Purcell and Sprinkle programs, respectively. Dr. Horsley is the Distinguished Professor of Liberal Arts and the Study of Religion at the University of Massachusetts, Boston, and Visiting Professor at Harvard University. WILSON, N.C. — Celebrate Valentine’s Day in gala fashion with the Barton College/Wilson Symphony Orchestra on Thursday, Feb. 14, at the twenty-second annual “Love the Symphony.” A much-anticipated annual event, this season’s “Love the Symphony” concert will feature Broadway star, recording artist, and international celebrity Lauren Kennedy. WILSON, N.C. — Acclaimed children’s author and illustrator Bonnie Christensen will return to Barton’s campus on Tuesday, Dec. 4, for a special book signing sponsored by the Barton College Friends of Hackney Library.
