WILSON, N.C. — September 22 — To further support leadership development among students on campus and within the community, Barton College is pleased to serve as an eastern North Carolina host site for Dale Carnegie Training beginning fall 2016.
The Skills for Success course for fall 2016 will be offered on Monday evenings from October 3 – November 21. Classes will be held on the Barton College campus in Hines Hall, Room 205, from 4 p.m. – 7:30 p.m., and will be led by instructor John Foust. The cost of the course is $1,695. Dale Carnegie is recognized as an international leader in helping people gain the communication, leadership and human relations skills they need for their work. They have eight million graduates worldwide…including thousands of students in North Carolina. The training is based on instruction and measurable improvement in five areas: (1) Leadership, (2) Communication, (3) People Skills, (4) Self-Confidence, and (5) Reducing stress and improving attitudes. Students in this program will establish objectives in the beginning, then apply program principles as they are taught.
