Barton College is accepting applications for an Assistant Coach of Women’s Soccer, a 9-month, part-time position with a start date of August 9, 2017. Barton College Athletics is a member of the Conference Carolinas and competes at the NCAA Division II level.
Duties as the Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach include, but are not limited to assisting in the recruitment and retention of a team for each gender that meets departmental roster goal numbers; practice and game coaching; conducting skill instruction sessions; providing leadership to facilitate academic and personal success by the team’s student-athletes; performing other administrative tasks necessary in coaching both teams; and involvement in the Wilson community with activities such as team community service work, camps, youth clinics, and promotion of the sport.
Some travel is required.
Minimum requirements include coaching or soccer background at the competitive level and academic credit or certification towards an undergraduate education or international equivalent. The successful applicant will need to have certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED. A valid driver’s license is required.
Preferred requirements include: Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization; college administrative experience; and knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation will be a work opportunity not to exceed 29 hours per week at a negotiated rate based on experience and qualifications. Evaluation of applications will begin immediately and continue until position is filled.
