Barton College, a private liberal arts college of 1,000 traditional students, seeks an Admissions Counselor to recruit qualified students in the designated areas according to institutional admissions policies. Duties include representing Barton at various prospective student events; maintaining telephone, email, and other written correspondence with prospective students and applicants; and participating in on-campus and off-campus visitation. Travel with overnight stay is part of the job as well as some night and weekend work. Other duties include developing relationships with area high schools and working closely with Barton faculty.
A bachelor’s degree, an ability to articulate the benefits of a liberal arts education, strong interpersonal and presentations skills, and a willingness to work evening and occasional weekend hours. Applicants must enjoy being part of a team environment and hold a valid driver’s license, as travel is required. Preference will be given to candidates with admissions experience. Position is full-time, 12-month. Standard benefits plan including tuition remission.
