Student Achievement

A Barton College education is designed to help all students think critically, communicate effectively, and understand our complex world. The development of these abilities is built purposefully into the College’s liberal arts core; reinforced in its majors; and demonstrated in the classroom, in campus life, and in the communities that Barton serves.

More information about the role of critical thinking, oral and written communication, and intercultural understanding in the curriculum can be found on the History and Vision page and in the College Catalog.

Barton College measures the achievement of its students in relation to its mission using a variety of evaluation criteria, including enrollment data, retention rates, graduation rates, and Gateway and Capstone Course success rates among others.
