WILSON, N.C. — April 4, 2022 — J. Eric Boyette, Secretary for the N.C. Department of Transportation, will be the featured speaker at the 120th annual commencement exercises of Barton College scheduled for Saturday, May 14, on center campus at 10:30 a.m. Boyette was named Secretary for the N.C. Department of Transportation by Governor Roy Cooper in February 2020. As transportation secretary, Boyette oversees one of the largest state-maintained highway systems in the nation, and all modes of transportation, including aviation, ferries, rail, public transit and bicycle and pedestrian transportation, as well as the Office of Civil Rights and Division of Motor Vehicles. 2022 Senior Exhibition at Barton Will Open With Reception On April 28

WILSON, N.C. — March 18, 2022 — Barton College is pleased to announce the opening of the 2022 Senior Exhibition on Thursday, April 28, with an evening reception to be held from 5-7 p.m. in the Barton Art Galleries in Case Art Building on the campus of the College. WILSON, N.C. — March 18, 2022 — Acclaimed American pianist Thomas Pandolfi returns to the Barton College stage to join the Barton College/Wilson Symphony Orchestra for its annual Spring Concert on Friday evening, April 22, at 7:30 p.m. in the Kennedy Family Theatre on campus. The orchestra, conducted by music director Mark N. Peterson, will feature Pandolfi performing Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No 1. As a result of unforeseen circumstances, the “Hustle for Health 5K Run/Walk and Health Fair,” scheduled for Saturday, April 23rd, and hosted by the Barton College Healthcare+  HOSA co-curricular organization, has been canceled.  The group looks forward to rescheduling this event during fall semester 2022.   Thank you for your interest and support.
