WILSON, N.C. — November 1, 2021 — The Center for Vocation and Rural Ministry at Barton College is pleased to invite pastors of small rural congregations in Eastern North Carolina to apply to become participants in its “Thriving in Ministry” program for the 2022 cohort experience. This experience will allow pastors opportunities for reflection, cohort building, and provision of short-term sabbatical experiences. Ecumenical in nature, the Center provides opportunities for reflection, spiritual direction, cohort building, visioning, and restoration while experiencing leadership renewal. Theatre at Barton Presents Nightfall with Edgar Allan Poe November 11-14

WILSON, N.C. — November 1, 2021 — Theatre at Barton is excited to present “Nightfall with Edgar Allan Poe” by Eric Coble on the Kennedy Family Theatre stage November 11-14.  A dress rehearsal performance is scheduled for November 10 by invitation only. The theatre performances will be held in the Kennedy Family Theatre at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings and at 3 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.  Seating will be limited to 60 seats in the audience for each performance. Barton College is recruiting for a Lead Groundskeeper/Horticulturalist to assist with the daily planning, organization, and direction of the overall grounds maintenance services for assigned facilities and campus landscape. In this role, the Lead Groundskeeper/Horticulturalist will lead the production and management of ornamental plants and turf grass, which includes grounds maintenance, restoration, and design.
