WILSON, N.C. — October 29, 2021 — Barton College’s 2021 Homecoming Weekend is here!  Atlantic Christian/Barton alumni and Bulldog fans from across the region are expected to be on campus for a great weekend of activities that begins on Friday with the annual Alumni Golf Tournament at Wilson Country Club. New this year is the Bulldog Bash at the Vollis Simpson Whirligig Park on Friday evening from 6 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. Barton/ACC alumni, employees, current students, friends/supporters of the College, and the greater Wilson community will come together to enjoy live music by “The Embers.”  There will be local food trucks, Brewmasters, and family fun. Williams, Thursday, Oct. 28, at 6 p.m. A North Carolina native, Williams fosters community engagement through his work as a consultant and through the Black On Black Project, an organization he founded that works with artists on exhibitions and events that unpack issues affecting the community. Barton College to Host “Take Back The Night” Scheduled for Oct. 24

WILSON, N.C. —October 16, 2021 — Members of the Wilson community are invited to join Barton College’s faculty, staff, and students for “Take Back The Night,” scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 24, at 7 p.m. in Wilson Gymnasium. Sponsored and hosted by Barton College, “Take Back The Night” is an annual program on campus that raises awareness about domestic violence. WILSON, N.C. — October 15 — The Barton Art Galleries at Barton College welcomes Durham-based artist Stacey Kirby in October. Her exhibition, Vital Records, will be on display October 18 through November 19. Kirby is scheduled to be the Artist-In-Residence October 18 – 30. On Thursday, October 21, the Barton Art Galleries will host a reception and performance by Stacey Kirby from 5-7 p.m. Attendees will be directed into the gallery in small groups to view the installation and performance.
