Weather Advisory 1 – Strong Winds and Heavy Rain

Members of the Barton Community, Strong winds and heavy rain are expected for this afternoon and continuing into late evening for the Wilson area. There is a threat of damaging wind gusts, and, to a much lesser extent, the possibility of isolated tornadoes in central and eastern North Carolina. Because of the many outdoor activities (including athletic practices) and travel to evening classes,  Barton College has decided to cancel all activities and evening classes for Thursday, beginning at 5 p.m. today. The Miracle Worker Comes to the Barton Theatre Stage February 21-23

UPDATE — As a result of the Winter Advisory for Wilson County, the Thursday evening performance of “The Miracle Worker” has been canceled.
