Barton College currently has a vacancy for a Groundskeeper position. Responsibilities include maintaining campus grounds as assigned and keeping all walkways, roadways, parking lots, and landscapes neat, clean, presentable, and free of trash, fallen leaves, snow, and ice. The incumbents will operate hand and power tools and light, mechanized equipment such as power mowers, tractor mowers, trenching devices, forklifts, and hoists. Assigned work such as mowing, pruning, trimming, edging, leaf removal, de-icing, etc. may fluctuate by season. Barton College welcomed its largest entering class since 1982 to campus on Thursday, Aug. 15, as parents, grandparents, and siblings helped students move their favorite items from home to their residence halls on campus. Barton College’s Welcome Weekend extends over the course of four to five days as we have welcomed not only new freshmen and transfers this week, but also the early return of student leaders and athletes.
