Barton Art Galleries to Showcase Work of Artist Harriet Hoover August 23-September 28

WILSON, N.C. — August 14, 2018 — The “Little Light” exhibition, featuring sculpture and performance works by artist Harriet Hoover, will launch the Barton Art Galleries’ 2018-2019 season. An opening reception and gallery lecture, featuring the artist, will be held on Thursday, August 23, in Case Art Building on the campus of Barton College. The reception will begin at 5 p.m., with the lecture following at 6 p.m. The exhibition will be on view through September 28. WILSON, N.C. — August 17, 2018 — Our newest Bulldogs have arrived! Barton College welcomed a new class of freshmen and transfers to campus on Thursday, Aug. 16, as parents, grandparents, and siblings helped students move their favorite items from home to their residence halls on campus. Barton College’s Welcome Weekend extends over the course of four to five days as we have welcomed not only new freshmen and transfers but also the early return of student leaders and athletes.
