RALEIGH, N.C. — February 20, 2018 — Competing among 24 independent colleges and universities in the recent 2018 NCICU Ethics Bowl, Barton College was one of four teams to reach the semi-final round in the highly anticipated annual event held at the State Legislative Complex in Raleigh. WILSON, N.C. — February 19, 2018 — The 15th annual Caregiver Education Conference, “Navigating the Dementia Maze,” will be held on Tuesday, March 6, in the Hamlin Student Center on the campus of Barton College in Wilson. The Gerontology Program at Barton College, Alzheimer’s North Carolina, and the Upper Coastal Plain Area Agency on Aging Family Caregiver Support Program will partner to present the conference. The Barton conference, and the series of caregiver conferences conducted across North Carolina, owe their origin to Joseph D. WILSON, N.C. — February 15, 2018 — Barton College welcomes historian Dr. W. Taylor Fain as the featured speaker for the upcoming Heritage Lecture scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 20. Dr. Fain is a former U.S. Department of State historian, and he currently serves as associate professor and graduate coordinator for the Department of History at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
