“Love The Symphony” To Feature Broadway’s Melvin Tunstall III on February 14

WILSON, N.C. — December 19, 2017 — Celebrate Valentine’s Day in gala fashion with the Barton College/Wilson Symphony Orchestra on Wednesday, Feb. 14, at the twenty-seventh annual “Love the Symphony.” This year’s Mardi Gras themed concert will feature vocalist Melvin Tunstall III. The event will begin with a wine and cheese reception at 6:30 p.m., followed by the concert at 7 p.m. in Wilson Gymnasium on the Barton campus. A candlelight buffet dinner will immediately follow the program at 8 p.m. Tickets are $65 per person, and reservations may be made by calling Luann Clark at 252-399-6329. Barton College Inducted 18 Students Into Alpha Chi Honor Society

WILSON, N.C. —December 19, 2017 — Barton College’s North Carolina Gamma Chapter of Alpha Chi National College Honor Society recently welcomed 18 new members into the fold during the fall 2017 induction ceremony. Students with a grade point average of 3.5 or better in the top 10 percent of the junior and senior classes are eligible for induction. The minimum grade point average for this induction class was 3.65.
