Barton Art Exhibitions Feature Creation from Destruction and Meditations on Motionless Video

WILSON, N.C. – The Barton Art Galleries is pleased to announce two new exhibitions: Leslie Fry: ReCreation and Stasis: Motion from Stillness. Both exhibitions offer something previously unseen in the Barton galleries: video. Leslie Fry: ReCreation and Stasis: Motion from Stillness will open with a reception on Sunday, Feb. 28 from 2 to 4 p.m. Artists Leslie Fry and Michael Wyshock will be present for the opening. Barton Welcomes Fiction Writer Pam Durban for Victor R. Small Writers Series

Wilson, N.C. – Barton College will welcome Pam Durban, fiction writer and the Doris Betts Distinguished Professor of Creative Writing at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill,  for the upcoming Victor R. Small Writers Series this spring semester. The program is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 23, at 7:30 p.m., and will be held in The Sam and Marjorie Ragan Writing Center on campus.  This event is open to the public at no charge, and the community is invited to attend.
